"Raw, natural and remote are three words I'd use to sum up Raine Island. This tiny island hosts 90% of all northern GBR green turtles, with up to 60,000 adult females nesting here in peak seasons. We're working to protect this population by increasing hatchling numbers through research and intervention so that there'll be green turtles on the Great Barrier Reef for future generations. Since the project started, we're seeing more and more hatchlings each season, so it's nice to know we're making a difference."
